1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Convoy ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
2. Description of Service
Convoy is a group navigation and convoy driving application for iOS. The App allows users to create and join real-time driving sessions ("convoys"), share live locations with convoy members, access turn-by-turn navigation, and communicate using quick signal reactions.
The App is designed to enhance group driving experiences. It is not a replacement for attentive driving or compliance with road traffic laws.
3. User Responsibilities
By using Convoy, you agree to the following:
- Do not operate the app while driving. Interactive elements of the App (such as route planning, sending signals, and joining trips) should only be used by a passenger or when the vehicle is safely stopped. The driver should rely on voice-guided navigation only.
- Follow all road laws. You are responsible for complying with all applicable traffic laws, speed limits, and road regulations in your jurisdiction at all times.
- Do not abuse hazard reporting. Community alerts and hazard reports must be used honestly and accurately. False or misleading reports undermine the safety of all users.
- Provide accurate information. Your display name and any information you share within a convoy should be truthful and not intended to mislead other users.
Important: Convoy provides navigation assistance as a convenience. It is your responsibility as a driver to maintain full attention to the road and driving conditions at all times. Navigation guidance is advisory only.
4. Prohibited Use
You may not use Convoy for any of the following purposes:
- Illegal activity. Using the App to facilitate, plan, or coordinate any activity that violates local, national, or international law.
- Harassment. Using the App to harass, stalk, threaten, or intimidate any other user or person.
- Impersonation. Misrepresenting your identity or pretending to be another person within the App.
- Interference with service. Attempting to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the App's servers, infrastructure, or other users' experience. This includes reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code of the App.
- Automated access. Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or interact with the App.
- Data harvesting. Collecting or storing personal data of other users without their consent.
5. Intellectual Property
The Convoy name, logo, visual design, and all associated branding are the intellectual property of Convoy. All rights are reserved.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content, nor may you reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except as permitted by applicable law.
6. Navigation Disclaimer
Convoy provides turn-by-turn navigation and route guidance as a convenience feature. This guidance is advisory only and is not a substitute for your own attention, judgement, and awareness of road conditions.
Routes may contain inaccuracies, may not reflect current road conditions, closures, or restrictions, and may not always represent the safest or most appropriate route. You are solely responsible for your driving decisions.
Convoy does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any navigation data, map data, or route suggestions provided through the App.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Convoy and its developers, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.
This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, revenue, profits, or any damages resulting from accidents, traffic violations, or personal injury that occur during the use of the App.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the App's reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Convoy at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the App or via email.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
